Programs

Math programs for Grades 3 to 12

Programs follow the Ontario curriculum, and there’s dedicated support for IB and AP students. Every program is available as one-on-one lessons or as a small group class of no more than 7 students. Lessons are matched to what your child is covering at school, so tutoring supports class instead of competing with it.

Grades 3–5

Building the foundation

What’s covered: Place value, multiplication and division facts, fractions and decimals, measurement, basic geometry, patterns and word problems, plus Grade 3 EQAO preparation.

How lessons run: Plenty of guided practice, so skills become automatic.

Who it suits: Children who are unsure of the basics or losing confidence, and strong students who want more challenge than class gives them.

Grades 6–8

Getting ready for algebra

What’s covered: Fractions, ratios and percent, integers, algebraic expressions and equations, geometry and measurement, data and probability, and multi-step problem solving, plus Grade 6 EQAO preparation.

How lessons run: Regular practice with test-style questions.

Who it suits: Students with gaps from earlier grades, students getting ready for high school, and students aiming for enriched or advanced programs.

Grades 9–10

High school foundations

What’s covered: Grade 9 math (MTH1W): number, algebra, linear relations, geometry, data and financial literacy, plus Grade 9 EQAO preparation. Grade 10 math: linear systems, analytic geometry, quadratics and trigonometry.

Who it suits: Students adjusting to the pace of high school, students whose marks have slipped, and students who want a strong base for senior math.

Grades 11–12

Senior math for university and college

What’s covered: University-pathway courses: Functions (MCR3U), Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) and Data Management (MDM4U). College-pathway math courses in Grades 11 and 12.

How lessons run: Test and exam preparation is built into every course, and small group classes are organized by course.

Who it suits: Students who need strong marks for university or college admission, students finding one course difficult, and students who want to stay ahead of the class.

IB & AP

IB and AP Math

Support for students in IB and AP math programs, covering both the course content and the demanding exams at the end of them. Lessons follow your child’s specific course and exam requirements.

Who it suits: IB and AP students who want to keep their marks high, understand difficult topics properly and walk into exams prepared.
