Learn it Faces are flat surfaces, edges are where two faces meet, and vertices are corners. A prism has 2 matching bases; a pyramid has 1 base and a point.
Example: How many faces, edges and vertices does a cube have?
- Faces: top, bottom, front, back, left, right = 6.
- Edges: 4 on top, 4 on the bottom, 4 going up = 12.
- Vertices: 4 on top, 4 on the bottom = 8.
