Compare and order decimals

Questions at easy, medium and hard levels. Pick a level and get a fresh set every time, with instant feedback.

Learn it Line up the decimal points. Compare whole numbers first, then tenths, then hundredths. Adding a zero at the end does not change a decimal (0.4 = 0.40).

Example: Which is greater, 0.6 or 0.58?

  1. Write 0.6 as 0.60 so both have hundredths.
  2. Compare tenths: 6 > 5.
  3. So $0.6 > 0.58$. (A longer decimal is not always bigger!)
