Learn it Count on: add the hours first, then the minutes. On the 24-hour clock, times after noon are 13:00 to 23:59 (subtract 12 for p.m.).
Example: A movie starts at 6:45 and lasts 2 h 25 min. When does it end? What is that on a 24-hour clock?
- 6:45 + 2 h = 8:45.
- 8:45 + 15 min = 9:00, then + 10 min = 9:10.
- It ends at 9:10 p.m., which is 21:10.
