Learn it Rewrite fractions with a common denominator (or as decimals), then compare the numerators.

Example: Order $\frac{3}{4}, \frac{2}{3}, \frac{5}{6}$ from least to greatest.

  1. Common denominator 12: $\frac{9}{12}, \frac{8}{12}, \frac{10}{12}$.
  2. Order the numerators: 8 < 9 < 10.
  3. So $\frac{2}{3} < \frac{3}{4} < \frac{5}{6}$.
