Learn it Probability = favourable outcomes ÷ total outcomes. For two events, list all outcomes in a table (two number cubes give 36). Expected count = probability × number of trials.
Example: Roll two number cubes. What is the probability the sum is 8?
- Ways to make 8: (2,6), (3,5), (4,4), (5,3), (6,2) = 5 ways.
- Total outcomes: $6 \times 6 = 36$.
- Probability = $\frac{5}{36}$.
