Learn it A trapezoid's area is the average of the parallel sides times the height: $A = \frac{(a + b)}{2} \times h$.
Example: Find the area of this trapezoid.
- Average of the parallel sides: $(8 + 14) \div 2 = 11$.
- × height: $11 \times 6 = 66$.
- Area = 66 cm².
