Questions at easy, medium and hard levels. Pick a level and get a fresh set every time, with instant feedback.

Learn it BEDMAS still applies with negatives. Be careful: $-3^2 = -9$ (only 3 is squared), but $(-3)^2 = 9$.

Example: $(2 - 7)^2 - 3 \times (4 - 9)$

  1. Brackets: $2 - 7 = -5$ and $4 - 9 = -5$.
  2. Exponent: $(-5)^2 = 25$.
  3. Multiply: $3 \times (-5) = -15$.
  4. $25 - (-15) = 40$.
