Learn it A regular hexagon is made of 6 equilateral triangles. Area $= 6 \times \frac{\sqrt{3}}{4}s^2 = \frac{3\sqrt{3}}{2}s^2 \approx 2.598s^2$.
Example: Find the area of a regular hexagon with side 4 cm.
- One triangle: $\frac{\sqrt{3}}{4} \times 16 \approx 6.93$ cm².
- Six triangles: $6 \times 6.93 \approx 41.6$ cm².
- Exact: $24\sqrt{3}$ cm².
