Simplify algebraic expressions

Questions at easy, medium and hard levels. Pick a level and get a fresh set every time, with instant feedback.

Learn it Expand brackets with the distributive property (multiply EVERY term inside, watching signs), then collect like terms.

Example: Simplify $4(2x - 3) - 3(x - 5)$.

  1. $4(2x - 3) = 8x - 12$.
  2. $-3(x - 5) = -3x + 15$ (minus times minus is plus).
  3. $8x - 3x - 12 + 15 = 5x + 3$.
