Simplify with all the exponent laws

Questions at easy, medium and hard levels. Pick a level and get a fresh set every time, with instant feedback.

Learn it Work in order: brackets (power of a power) first, then multiply/divide by adding/subtracting exponents, and finally move negative exponents to the other side of the fraction.

Example: $\frac{(2x^3y^{-2})^3}{4x^{-1}y^5}$

  1. Top: $8x^9y^{-6}$.
  2. Divide: $\frac{8}{4} = 2$, $x^{9-(-1)} = x^{10}$, $y^{-6-5} = y^{-11}$.
  3. Answer: $\frac{2x^{10}}{y^{11}}$.
