Tip A quick way to do these in your head
Multiply as whole numbers, then count decimal places: 0.3 × 0.04 → 3 × 4 = 12, with 1 + 2 = 3 decimal places → 0.012. × 100 moves the point 2 places right; ÷ 100 moves it 2 places left.
