Learn it Mean = total ÷ count. Median = middle value in order. Mode = most common. Range = largest − smallest. An outlier changes the mean much more than the median.

Example: Scores 10, 12, 14 have mean 12. What fourth score makes the mean 15?

  1. Four scores with mean 15 total $15 \times 4 = 60$.
  2. Current total: 36.
  3. Fourth score: $60 - 36 = $ 24.
